Chicago twice came back from a goal down to earn a road point against TFC.
The Reds took an early lead when Bakary Soumare deflected a cross into his own net, but Chicago fought back in the second half, Robert Earnshaw scoring in his MLS return against his former team. TFC took another lead in the 79th minute through Gilberto, but the Fire had another former Toronto striker ready to make his mark, and Quincy Amarikwa tied it up just before stoppage time.

"Hard fought," replied Yallop when asked his thoughts on the game. "Coming back in any game always feels like you got something out of it as opposed to letting it slip. I’m really happy with the fight back and the spirit of the guys. Obviously quality wise we weren’t quite there yet but the fighting spirit was great.
"Every team I manage I want them to fight hard. We’ve been in almost every game but we just don’t have quite enough quality in all our positions to really dominate and take games over. We do have the fighting spirit and once we had a few key places."
Chicago (4-6-14) will have to be much-improved if it is to make the playoffs, as the Fire are currently six points below the red line. Toronto (9-8-6) sits in third in the East.
