The LA Galaxy forward responded to Jurgen Klinsmann's snub by notching two goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over Philadelphia, with his first tally putting him alone atop the league's all-time scoring chart. He's joined up front in this week's side by Galaxy teammate Robbie Keane, who assisted both of Donovan's strikes, scored one of his own and also found net in a midweek win over Dallas.
Completing the front line is D.C. United forward Fabian Espindola, after the Argentine recorded a goal and an assist versus Houston on Wednesday and scored off the bench against New England on Saturday. Filling the playmaker role is the Columbus Crew's Federico Higuain, whose classy through balls set up both goals in a 2-0 win over Chicago.

He is joined in midfield by reigning Rookie of the Year Dillon Powers, after the Colorado Rapids man found net twice against Montreal. Also grabbing a brace was Khari Stephenson, who scored off an indirect free kick and a penalty kick in the San Jose Earthquakes' win over Houston.
Matt Hedges anchors the back line after FC Dallas grabbed a scoreless draw at Real Salt Lake, largely thanks to the defender's 19 clearances and eight interceptions. His center back partner is the Rapids' Shane O'Neill, who bagged his first MLS goal with a long-range strike against Montreal.
Getting the nod at right back is Tony Beltran, after the sturdy Real Salt Lake veteran shut down his side against Dallas. At left back is D.C. United's Cristian Fernandez, who racked up 13 clearances over two matches and set up Espindola's equalizer at New England. And Crew goalkeeper Steve Clark is between the posts after making four saves while keeping the clean sheet against Chicago.
