The Brazilian veteran brings a wealth of experience to the MLS club.

The Colorado Rapids have announced the aquisition of Brazilian forward Edu as an international player. Per club and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Edu is a skilled and creative forward with a great deal of experience,” said Rapids Technical Director Paul Bravo. “His signing will bolster our attack and we’re happy to add him to the roster.”

A native of Sao Paulo, Edu, 33, has experience in La Liga and the Champions League during his time with Celta de Vigo and Real Betis. For Celta, he mad 117 appearances, scoring 28 goals. At Betis, he managed 41 goals over 136 apperances.

He's also been capped once by the Brazlian national team, with that match coming back in 2000 against Thailand.
