The U.S. national team backup has made a strong start to life as a Premier League first-choice goalkeeper.
Though Villa was only able to take one point from its three league games in October, the 28-year-old turned in three fine displays, preventing his team from being snowed under even worse.
After several years on the bench, Guzan has finally locked down a starting role for the Midlands club, starting eight consecutive Premier League matches since Sept. 2.
Villa is currently one place ahead of the relegation zone in the EPL table, but does enjoy a four-point cushion over 18th-place Reading.
