The former Rangers midfielder came on as a late substitute for Stoke City, joining Geoff Cameron to help see out the Potters' 0-0 draw with Liverpool at Anfield.
Edu entered as an 80th-minute substitute, replacing central midfielder Charlie Adam and helping the Potters see out a scoreless draw with Liverpool at Anfield.
Edu was on the field along with fellow U.S. national team player Geoff Cameron, who was deputized as a right back by manager Tony Pulis for the third straight game, as the final whistle blew, securing a valuable road point for the mid-table club.
Edu had been a regular for Rangers ever since joining the club in 2008 but has found it a little more difficult to find playing time with Stoke. Cameron, meanwhile, made his seventh start in all competitions for Stoke, playing the full 90 minutes.
