Cottagers will head to White Hart Lane looking to beat the club's record points tally but will have to do it without their influential American, who is ruled out due to injuryFulham midfielder Clint Dempsey will miss the club's final fixture of the season against Tottenham on Sunday after picking up a problem with his abductor muscle.
The USA international is enjoying his best season in the England with 17 Premier League goals to his name and a number of standout performances.
This form has helped steer Fulham into the top half of the table and it heads into Sunday's fixture with the opportunity to overhaul its previous best points tally of 53, but will now have to do it without Dempsey.
"Clint is injured so he won’t play on Sunday. He's got a problem with his left abductor so he won’t be involved,'' manager Martin Jol confirmed to the club's official website.
"Dickson Etuhu also has a problem with his right knee so he won't be available. Alex Kacaniklic is a doubt as he dropped out of training on Friday with a little problem with his hamstring."
While their task will no doubt be more difficult without their top scorer, Jol says that the pressure is off following a good season, and insists that the club will be going all-out to finish the campaign on a high.
"There’s no pressure on us this weekend and hopefully we'll enjoy the game," the Dutchman noted.
"We've had a good season but our final league position is not in our own hands on Sunday. The only thing which is in our own hands is to go out and get a good result against Spurs.
"We wanted to finish in the top 10 this season and we’re now in a fine position. It would be marvellous to get another three points on Sunday and finish the season on 55 points."
