Became the Europa League's oldest player tonight but could have done better for the Sheriff goal as he parried a soft shot back into play.
Constant outlet at right back and rarely had to track back and defend his flank. Put in a number of good crosses but couldn't react quickly enough to prevent Sheriff stabbing home its goal.
Couple of sloppy moments put Spurs in trouble but recovered well, especially with Ricardinho in on goal.
Not a standout showing from the right-footed left back but was neat and tidy. Never one to over-complicate matters, for good or bad.
Steady at center back and rarely over-elaborated in possession. Was caught out once and Spurs were almost punished but otherwise did well.
The best player on the pitch. Finally beginning to show his worth at Spurs and was a constant threat from wide, sweeping home the opening goal from 12 yards before dazzling his way past three defenders and winning a penalty.
Had a mixed game, giving the ball away a couple of times in key positions in the first half. Improved in the second, almost finding the top corner from 30 yards before helping tee up Lamela for the opener. Subbed for Holtby late on.
Made his return after two months out injured adding presence to the Tottenham midfield. Intercepted and passed well before being replaced just before the hour.
Not his finest evening but he did a respectable job largely from the left flank. No chances to speak of but kept possession well. Subbed for Kane with 20 to go.
Strong performance in the middle in both attack and defense. Beat three players and drew a good stop from Tomic in the opening stages. Otherwise recycled possession well.
Quiet, very quiet. Had the best chance of the first half but completely missed the ball from 6 yards. Made amends by slamming a penalty home to become the club's top scorer in European competition with 23.
Made a solid stop from an early Dembele effort and looked confident all night. His highlight was a stunning tip over from Eriksen's 30-yarder. Had no chance with the two goals.
The center back looked strong and did what he could to keep Defoe quiet. Lost him on one occasion but was otherwise pretty solid.
Partnered Paye at the back and also did well. The pair rarely gave Defoe a sniff of goal and can be commended for that.
Got away with a trip on Lamela in the box before repeating the feat in the second half as the Argentine whizzed past him. Was also the unlucky man to deflect Eriksen's pass into Lamela's path.
Little general in midfield for Sheriff, always barking orders at those around him. Sat deep and gave good protection to his defense before being replaced.
Partnered Moyal in midfield and helped provide a defensive screen. Not the finest ball player but was reliable.
Played just off Kadu and had a hand in the goal drawing the first save from Friedel. Subbed for Pascenko.
Had a lot of leg work to do as the lone forward but struck the outside of the post with his first chance. Did excellently to pounce on a rebound to bring Sheriff back into the game.
Looked a threat when Sheriff broke and set up Isa to hit the post before intercepting and shooting just wide himself. Missed another great chance and did give Naughton the runaround.
Pretty anonymous on the left flank but did see a shot well saved by Friedel when he did drift inside.
Introduced for Capoue and had a couple of chances arriving late in the box, volleying one over and scissor-kicking another just over the bar.
On for Eriksen with 10 to play and kept Spurs ticking along.
Came on with 20 to play for Sigurdsson but struggled to get involved from the left flank.
