  • That's it for me. I'm Rudi Schuller (@RudiSchuller on Twitter) and it was my pleasure bringing this game to you.
  • And it's over! Toronto holds on to the 1-0 victory and Montreal will be sweating.

  • 90' + 3'
    Yellow Card Wandrille Lefèvre
  • 90' + 2'
    SubstitutionRobert Earnshaw Gale Agbossoumonde

We're into added time, and this game is stretching out like crazy.
  • 87'
HUGE SAVE BENDIK! Romero gets behind the TFC defence, and once again it's the Toronto GK putting huge glove hand on a surefire goal.
  • 84'
    SubstitutionKarl William Ouimette Andrés Romero
  • 84'
    SubstitutionB. Dike Justin Braun
  • 81'
OFF THE LINE! Bernadello clears the ball from certainly going into Montreal's goal after Caldwell tried to convert from a corner kick. That could be huge for the Impact.
  • 78'
Montreal is threatening a bit more lately. The team senses that time is running out.
  • 73'
    SubstitutionÁlvaro Rey Jeremy Hall
  • 72'
WENGER JUST WIDE! The forward recives a ball at the top of the 6-yard box and passes it just past Bendik's left post.
  • 67'
Toronto is still attacking even though Montreal has woken up a bit over the past 10 minutes. TFC comes close with a good interchange between its top 6, but the eventual shot is well wide.
  • 62'
IMPACT GOAL DISALLOWED! Bendik's poor goalkick is gathered by Wenger, who charges at the TFC net. His cross is met by Di Vaio, who mishits it but eventually bundles it into the goal. However, the officiall deemed Di Vaio's touch to have been with his arm, so the goal was disallowed.
  • 58'
OSORIO JUST WIDE! TFC gains a bit of sustained possession, and Osorio dribbles into the area, but his right-footed effort goes across the face of goal and out for a goal kick.
  • 57'
    SubstitutionFelipe Martins Collen Warner
  • 57'
    SubstitutionDavy Arnaud Andrea Pisanu
  • 53'
HUGE SAVE BENDIK! Montreal counterattacks and Di Vaio plays a nice dummy that allows Arnaud to go in alone on the TFC keeper. Bendik sticks out his right paw to thwart the Impact attacker's point-blank shot, and TFC is still up 1-0. Massive play by Bendik on Montreal's first shot on target.
  • 50'
Wow! Fantastic interplay between Earnshaw and Dike nearly leads to another TFC goal. Montreal saved by last-ditch defending.
  • 47'
CALDWELL OFF THE CROSSBAR! TFC earns a quick corner, and the flick-on goes to Caldwell, whose effort bounces off the top of the bar. Montreal still living a charmed life, it seems.
  • 46'
    And we're back!
  • If you were to judge purely on run-of-play, you'd think that TFC was the one fighting for its playoff life. Montreal will have to find another gear over the final 45 minutes if they don't want to leave their postseason fate to other results.
  • Halftime at BMO Field! Toronto will feel unlucky not to be up by 3 or 4 goals as the Impact provided little resistance over the first 45 minutes.
  • 43'
ANOTHER SAVE PERKINS! It's Earnshaw this time with a drive from just outside the box. It looks like it's headed for the top right corner, but the Impact keeper tips it over the bar. The ensuing corner is handled by the Montreal defence.
  • 38'
BEKKER OFF THE BAR! More sustained TFC possession eventually finds Kyle Bekker 20 yards out and with some space to shoot, The Canadian drills a high effort that evades Perkins but rattles off the crossbar.
  • 34'
BIG SAVE PERKINS! Toronto is buzzing now, and Osorio fires an effort from the top of the area that the Impact goalie just gets his fingers to. The Impact are lucky not to be down by more at this point.
  • 33'
EARNSHAW MISS! Dike outjumps a defender to head the ball into the clear. He and a charging Earnshaw are both in alone on Perkins, but it's the Welshman who decides to shoot... directly into the Montreal's keeper.
  • 32'
CLOSE! Wenger heads a corner kick goalward, but it just misses.
  • 27'
Montreal seems to be losing composure here a bit. They'll need to calm down or someone is going to be sent off, and that's the last thing they need when chasing a lead.
  • 26'
    Yellow Card Justin Mapp
  • 23'
    Yellow Card Hernán Bernardello
  • 23'
    Yellow Card Robert Earnshaw
  • 23'
Bit of a handbags a ten paces situation sees Earnshaw and Bernardello come chest-to-chest. The Impact's Argentine goes down in a heap, causing a mass scuffle. Both initial players get carded.
  • 16'
    Goal Robert Earnshaw
EARNSHAW MAKES NO MISTAKE THIS TIME! The Welshman latches on to a deflected ball inside the area and tips it by Perkins. It was Osorio's shot that had deflected right to the opportunistic striker, and he was not going to miss from that distance.
  • 15'
CLOSE CALL! Earnshaw nods a corner kick into the side netting, prompting a huge cheer from BMO Field as the crowd thought it had gone in.
  • 12'
Felipe lets fly from 25 yards out after a headed clearance by TFC, but his shot is well over.
  • 11'
This isn't the prettiest of starts we've seen. Lots of errant passes and mistimed runs so far.
  • 7'
Things are a bit jittery here as the elements have caused a few slips. Nothing has come of them yet, but it's something to watch out for as the game progresses.
  • 2'
Wenger topples over inside the Toronto area, but the ref waves play on.
  • 1'
    And we're finally underway!
  • Ok, the goalpost issue seems to be taken care of. It's 4:06pm and we're startng the pre-match ceremony.
  • There looks to be a net issue at the north end. Plenty of people working on it. Not sure if it will affect kickoff or not.
  • We're moments away from kickoff. Hopefully the rain holds off as it's a chilly 8C with the wind coming off the lake as it is.
  • Impact bench: Bush, Tissot, Brovsky, Warner, Romero, Nyassi, Pisanu
  • Impact starting XI: Perkins; Ouimette, Lefèvre, Ferrari, Camara; Arnaud, Felipe, Bernardello, Mapp; Wenger, Di Vaio
  • TFC bench: Frei, Braun, Lambe, Wiedeman, Hall, Elmer, Agbossoumonde
  • TFC starting XI: Bendik, Bloom, Caldwell, Henry, Morgan, Rey, Bekker, Osorio, Convey, Earnshaw, Dike
  • With the importance of the match in mind, several hundred Impact fans have made the 6-hour trek down the 401 for this one. Also, there are quite a few more Montreal-based meadie members in the BMO Field press box than usual.
  • On that note, the Impact have never won at BMO Field in MLS or Canadian Championship play. The best they've done is earn draws, the biggest of which came way back in 2008 to clinch the inaugural Canadian Championship crown.
  • TFC is, of course, out of playoff contention. But the Reds will be looking to play massive spoiler this afternoon and grab the victory against a desperate Impact side.
  • Today has huge playoff implications for the Impact, who can advance to the postseason automatically with a win. Even a draw or a loss could see Montreal through, depending on other results around the league. But Marco Schaillibaum and crew will not want to leave their fate to chance.
  • Hello and welcome to a blustery afternoon at BMO Field! I'm Rudi Schuller (@RudiSchuller) and I'll be providing you with Goal's live commentary of today's match between Toronto FC and the Montreal Impact.
