MLS Preview: Sporting Kansas City - New York Red Bulls

Kansas City should be boosted by the return of Aurelien Collin as it welcomes the slumping Red Bulls.

Aurelien Collin should be a sight for sore eyes Tuesday night, with the All-Star center back set to boost Sporting Kansas City's shorthanded defensive corps.

A hamstring strain has sidelined Collin for Kansas City's past two games, during which center backs Matt Besler (U.S. national team duty), Ike Opara (ankle surgery) and Lawrence Olum (Kenya national team duty) have also been unavailable.

But the Frenchman has returned to full training and appears likely to start as Kansas City (5-4-3) hosts the New York Red Bulls (3-5-5) at Sporting Park on Tuesday (8 p.m. ET, ESPN2). While Sporting is 0-2-1 in its past three, the Red Bulls have lost three straight.

Both teams will continue to be without key players because of World Cup duty, with Kansas City missing the U.S. duo of Besler and Graham Zusi, while New York is missing Tim Cahill (Australia) and Roy Miller (Costa Rica).
