The Jamaican scored on either side of the half in a rough night for Dynamo goalkeeper Tally Hall. The San Jose Earthquakes defeated the Houston Dynamo 3-0 at Buck Shaw Stadium on Sunday night, thanks to a pair of Khari Stephenson goals.
San Jose opened the scoring after a mistake from Houston goalkeeper Tally Hall. David Horst sent a back pass that Hall inexplicably picked up, handing the home side an indirect free kick from seven yards out. Stephenson buried the free kick after it was nudged back to him.
Stephenson scored again just inside the second half – this time from the penalty spot. Corey Ashe was called for a questionable bump on Steven Lenhart as the Earthquakes forward hustled for a ball which he wouldn’t have reached before it was cleared.
Hall’s night got even worse after a long San Jose clearance bounced near the top of his box. After leaving his line the goalkeeper attempted to head the ball, but, unable to use his hands, he lost out to Atiba Harris, who was left with an empty net.
