Two misfiring offenses performed as expected, and Seattle and New England played out a scoreless draw.
The two teams came into this game with the two worst offensive records in MLS. New England had scored just one goal, and Seattle two. Those totals stayed static as both sides failed to trouble the back of the net.
Seattle, playing at home, had the better of the game's offensive goings, forcing Revolution keeper Bobby Shuttleworth into three saves, including a fantastic kicking stop on Steve Zakuani late in the first half. New England failed to put a single effort on target.
The result gives New England a 1-2-2 record on the season. Seattle's record now stands at 0-3-2. The Sounders are the only team in MLS without a win.
