I hope you've enjoyed this live commentary between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad, we hope to see you next time. For now, goodbye.
An almost spotless display by Real Madrid sees them end the game with a dominant result on home turf. Cristiano Ronaldo easily man of the match with his sublime hat-trick, sealed with a customary free-kick, whilst Gareth Bale looked impressive once more and Karim Benzema also had a big impression on the game. To say Sociedad came away from their midweek fixture with Manchester United with a point does not show in this match, unless of course the squad are not up to the demands of juggling both European and domestic affairs.
And that's full-time: Real Madrid 5-1 Real Sociedad.
90' + 1'
With the game and three points secure, Madrid are now happy for Sociedad to hold onto the ball as they keep the visitors away from goal.
And now a terrible, terrible miss at the other end for substitute Morata. Ronaldo plays the ball across the face of goal, but the attacker pulls the ball wide to the player's dismay.
Vela goes close. The striker approaches four Madrid defenders with none of them able to disposes the Mexican and the attacker cracks off a shot that forces the Madrid 'keeper to take action.
Madrid are actually struggling to keep Sociedad at bay and the ball has had plenty of time in the hosts' box in these late moments.
A shot from distance sees Diego Lopez force the ball out for a corner clumsily. The follwoing corner eventually makes its way to Griezmann but his header is wide of goal.
The game is of course all be settled and Madrid just want to control things now as they hold onto the ball in midfield.
Madrid make a rare mistake in midfield and Sociedad look to take the advantage given to them, but the move soon breaks down thanks to Arbeloa who has been excellent today.
Sociedad try to make a break down the right, but a lack of awareness sees Madrid easily cut out the threat.
Yellow CardMikel González Martínez
Gooooaaalll!! Hat-trick for Ronaldo, with the Portugal international finishing it off in typical style - a perfectly exectuted free-kick. Around 20 yards outside the area, Ronaldo gives Bravo no chance and puts the ball to the 'keeper's far side.
Madrid are trying to really kill off this game, but Sociedad are remaining dogged at the back, albeit with a few sloppy clearances.
After former Sociedad man Xabi Alonso goes off to applause from both sides, the game looks to have calmed for now, with Madid looking to retain their dominant possession.
Griezmann is really trying to get Sociedad back in this game, as another great run from the Frenchman nearly converts, but his shot is off target.
Sociedad try to test Diego Lopez once more, but the Madrid 'keeper stays calm with an easy shot.
The visitors certainly look better after their goal, it must be said, but there's still a few mistakes being made in that midfield.
So that's something on the scoreboard for the visitors, but it's unlikely it will make a huge difference unless Sociedad use this goal to really pick up their game.
Goal for Sociedad!! Griezamann, just seconds after a solid penalty appeal is turned down, receives a great ball from the middle of the park and lobs the Madrid 'keeper. A sublime finish and makes up for the denied spot-kick.

Sociedad have now used up all their substitutes, whilst Madrid are yet to use one. Looks as though the visitors are really looking to get this squad going.
The visitors are pressing, but Madrid's midfield is proving too strong for Sociedad for the time being.
Another Madrid attack through Bale, but Sociedad clear easily before Modric can get to the ball.
Arebeloa brings down Javier Martinez in cynical style to earn himself a yellow card.
Possession has been evenly split between the two sides so far, with Sociedad looking very adamant to get at least one goal back.
Sociedad look a bit better since the break, but Madrid are still bossing the possession.
Sociedad have started how they began the first-half, as the visitors win two quick corners, but Madrid are strong enough to repel them.

And we're back underway.
It's been easy pickings for the hosts in the first 45 minutes, with Sociedad - a side that held Manchester United to a 0-0 draw in midweek - allowing Madrid to run riot over their defence. Vela and Griezmann have had minimal time up top on the ball, whilst their midfield teammates behind have done little to help their cause. Benzema, Bale and Ronaldo have rueld this game so far, with Alonso and Khedira in good support.
And that's half-time. Madrid lead Sociedad easily at the break 4-0.
Ronaldo has a chance to claim a first-half hat-trick, but the Portuguese fails to fully test Bravo, as the Sociedad collects the attacker's shot.
Ronaldo goes down once more in the penalty area, but the referre thinks nothing of it. Ironic, as there looked to more in it compared to the penalty given earlier in the game.
It's a rare moment as Sociedad have some possession and Carlos Vela tries to storm the Madrid box, but the former Arsenal man is outnumbered and the hosts clear easily.
Madrid are clambering all over Sociedad here! Aren't the visitors suspossed to be a Champions League side? We could be in for a record score if this pace continues. Alonso nearly picks out the run of Benzema for yet another chance, but Martinez gets his body in the way.
Gooalll! Khedira makes it four! Sociedad are making this very easy for Madrid, with the visitor's defence barely reacting to the hosts' play around the box and Madrid easily pass the ball on the 18-yard line before the Germany international powers the ball home like a penalty, straight down the middle.
Real Sociedad have struggled so far to get any sort of time on the ball so far, as Madrid have been dominant pretty much from the start. A smattering of corners are the only consolation for the visitors so far.
Very nearly four to Madrid! Bale completely unmarked over on the right gets a wonderful opportunity to put the hosts well and truly out of sight, but his shot comes off his foot too late and the Welshman drags its just wide of goal.
A Sociedad chance to create at the edge of the box is thwarted cynically by Pepe, who earns a booking for his troubles. The visitors have a tasty free-kick, but Griezmann can't make it count as he drills it into the wall.
Penalty GoalCristiano Ronaldo
Goaaall! Ronaldo scores to grab a brace after just 26 minutes following a very harsh penalty. Markel Bergara was deemed by the referee to have handled the ball when the defender goes to ground, but it's hard to see how his hand could not have touched the ball. Meanwhile the hosts take complete control of this tie.
Penalty to Madrid!! Handball!
A rare chance for Sociedad to make some inroads in the opposition half. Pepe, however, is on the ball, and immediately sparks his team on the break, where Arbeloa is narrowly caught overside in the overlap.
A counter from a Sociedad attack sees Madrid race down the pitch with Bale on the ball. The Welshman looks as though he's ran out of room, but the former Spurs man finds Arbeloa on the left and the full-back plays the ball towards goal, but Benzema is offside and the comes to nothing.
Goaaallll!! And it's 2-0 to the hosts after just 18 minutes! It's a complete switch of roles from the first goal, as Ronaldo makes his way around the Sociedad defenders to set up Benzema to score the game's second goal with finesse. Again, a lovely goal from the hosts.
It must be said that Karim Benzema's ball from the left to Ronaldo for the opening goal was suerb and played to perfection.
Ronaldo with another chance in the Sociedad box. Bale controls the ball over on the left, looks for the shot but instead lays it off for the attacker and Ronaldo strikes the ball straight into Bravo's arms.
Goooaaalllll! Madrid take the lead with that man Cristiano Ronaldo calmly putting his side ahead at the far post. The Portugal international receives the ball close to goal, controls neatly and powers the shot past Bravo. Simple but attractive football from the hosts.
A free-kick is won on the left side for Madrid; Bale is up to take the set-piece and Sociedad 'keeper Bravo misjudges the flight of the ball slightly and has to touch it out for a corner. The following set-piece is easily cleared.
After some interplay between Modic and Bale, Ronaldo receives the ball and pulls off a typical shot from his right boot that just clips the bar. A good early chance there for the home side.
A quick flurry of corners for Sociedad are easily dealth with by Madrid, but the away side showing good intent early on.
Karim Benzema has already had a chance on goal. but the Frenchman is deemed offside and Madrid's early chance comes to nothing.
