MLS Preview: New York Red Bulls - Toronto FC

The New York Red Bulls will be looking to grab sole possession of first place in the MLS Eastern Conference with a win vs. lowly Toronto FC on Saturday at Red Bull Arena.

The New York Red Bulls will look to try and grab sole possession of first place in the MLS Eastern Conference when they take off last-place Toronto FC at Red Bull Arena on Saturday night.

The Red Bulls are in a three-way tie for first with Sporting Kansas City and the Montreal Impact, but have a solid chance of racking up three points against a struggling TFC side that has gone winless in six matches.

Toronto comes in having played a mid-week 1-1 draw vs. the Chicago Fire, which could leave the club fatigued against a Red Bulls team that is 6-0-3 in their past nine meetings against TFC.

The Red Bulls will be riding a wave of confidence after an impressive 4-1 victory on the road against the Houston Dynamo last week. A win that came despite the absence of star midfielder Tim Cahill to an ankle injury. It was Cahill who delivered the game-winning goal in the first meeting of the season between the two teams.

On Saturday, the Red Bulls will be counting on Henry to lead the charge. The French star responded to his benching two weeks ago with a strong outing vs. Houston, including a goal. Henry will look to continue his track record of success against Toronto FC, having registered three goals and five assists in eight career matches vs. TFC.

Toronto is also expected to be short-handed, with leading scorer Robert Earnshaw having suffered an injury in Wednesday's tie vs. Chicago.

The meeting is the third between the clubs this year, but first at Red Bull Arena, where the Red Bulls are a perfect 3-0 all-time vs. Toronto FC. TFC's last visit to Red Bull Arena saw them suffer a 4-1 defeat on Sept. 29, 2012.
