The Hoops will look to stop a four-match losing streak when they face the Goats, who ended a three-game losing streak of their own last week.
After a 5-1-1 start this season, the Hoops have dropped four straight, bringing back memories of last season, when they started 7-1-3 and then missed the playoffs after a 4-11-8 finish.
FCD will try and right the ship Saturday when it hosts Chivas USA (8:30 p.m. ET, MLS Live). The Goats snapped an eight-game winless run last weekend, defeating Colorado 3-1 on the strength of two goals from new acquisition Marvin Chavez.
Chivas may be running into Dallas at just the right time. Already missing midfielder Mauro Diaz and defender Kellyn Acosta through long-term injuries, the Hoops got more bad news this week, as key midfielder Hendry Thomas was ruled out for 6-8 weeks with a muscle tear in his right leg.
The Goats will be mostly full strength, as defender Tony Lochhead (hamstring) and midfielder Mauro Rosales (adductor) appear ready to return to the starting lineup. The club released Mexican forward Adolfo Bautista earlier this week.
