Coming off a big loss, the Dynamo head to Colorado to take on a Rapids side fresh off a big win.
The Texas club is coming off a 3-0 loss to San Jose and will have to gets things headed in the right direction without U.S. national team winger Brad Davis, who was included in Jurgen Klinsmann's 23-man roster for Brazil, and a host of other absentees.
“I think when you’re facing challenging times like we are you have to take a step back, put your emotion aside and evaluate the situation in a practical matter and make sure … you make prudent decisions going forward,” Dynamo club president Chris Canetti told MLSsoccer.com on Tuesday.PHOTOS: USA vs. Azerbaijan | World Cup teams
“We’re in a challenging time right now [and] that’s what we’re doing; we’re trying to assess the situation with practicality and put together a game plan to make sure we can fix it.”For Colorado, a second win in a row could spark a run of consistency for a club that has lacked it to this point. Despite sitting third in the Western Conference, the Rapids have won back-to-back matches only once this season, and prior to last week's smashing of Montreal had gone three matches winless.
