The Sounders head to Chicago to take on a Fire team coming off a midweek draw.
The Fire come into the match having drawn their last two, including a 0-0 result against the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday. That match left the Fire with only one loss from their last five matches, with eight of the team's 14 total points coming in that run.
The only real blemish on Seattle's recent record was a humiliating 5-0 loss to the New England Revolution, but the Sounders have responded well in the three matches since that defeat, winning two and drawing one including the 4-0 smashing of RSL.

Now four points clear of Salt Lake at the top of the West, and seven full points up on third-placed Colorado, the Sounders get a chance to take points off a non-conference foe in the form of Chicago, but will once again be without U.S. national team captain Clint Dempsey and young defender DeAndre Yedlin, who are both away on international duty.
The club can, however, count on former Fire star Marco Pappa, who scored one of the Sounders' four goals against RSL with a lovely free kick.
