Player Ratings: Canada 0-4 Denmark

A young and largely not very match fit Canadian side lost 4-0 to Denmark in an international friendly game in Tucson, Arizona. Here's how the players fared.

    Lars Hirschfeld

Another helpless afternoon for Hirschfeld. Really not much he could have done to help with his team's performance in the first half. Subbed off at halftime.

    Ashtone Morgan

Wasn't able to get forward all that much, had a rough time defending deep in the Red's end and defending crosses in the first half. Better in the second.

  • Doneil Henry

    Doneil Henry

Beaten in the air and caught out of position on numerous occasions. His counterparts weren't on their game either and that didn't help the TFC youngster.

  • Dejan Jakovic

Dejan Jakovic Flop of the Match

Looked very slow, was almost always late on challenges - especially in the first half - and sloppy in possession.

  • Nana Attakora

    Nana Attakora

Nana hasn't been playing all that much in the last few years and its hard to see him get called up in the future without consistent playing time. His performance against Denmark certainly didn't help his cause. He looked out of place.

  • Dwayne De Rosario

    Dwayne De Rosario

Had a good chance in the first few minutes to give Canada the lead but his shot was deflected wide. Was otherwise very quiet and failed to make much of an impact on the game.

  • Kyle Bekker

    Kyle Bekker

Always kept his head up and tried to get things going in midfield. Was a little slow in possession, gave away the ball sloppily at times. But not easy to come into this team, in this state, for the first time. The potential is there, no doubt about it.

The Hammarby midfielder was kept quiet throughout.

    Russell Teibert

Went on a couple valiant runs but would eventually get easily shrugged off the ball. Had a hard time linking up with his teammates. Like many of his other teammates, didn't look match-fit.

  • Terry Dunfield

    Terry Dunfield

Wore the captain's armband and tried to give his team some spark with some tough tackles, but was otherwise ineffective.

    Tosaint Ricketts

Was kept quiet for the majority of the game. Seemed to be missing a step or two in this one.

Victoria Plzen goalkeeper was subbed in at halftime for Herschfeld. Made a couple of good catches from crosses, but luckily for the keeper Denmark really weren't as adventurous as they had been in the first half.

    Had extremely little to do.

    Jores Okore

Played in a deep midfield role. Protected the back-line well - not that it needed all that much protection.

Didn't venture forward very much on the left-hand side but did the simple things well.

    Lars Jacobsen

Was a constant menace on the right hand flank for Denmark. His overlapping runs caused all sorts of problems for Canada.

  • Casper Sloth

    Casper Sloth

Brought balance to the team's attacking quartet. His smart inside movement opened up space for Jacobsen to maneuver on the right-hand side and cross unmarked.

    K. Lorentzen

Scored the second goal for the Danes and moved really well in doing so. Played a very nice corner which lead to his team's third goal. Solid game all around.

    M. Silberbauer

Quiet game for Silberbauer at center back. He won't have an easier one for a while.

Andreas Cornelius Top of the Match

Scored three of Denmark's four goals. Took just about every chance he got. Man of the match.

    Dennis Rommedahl

Much of Denmark's attacking plays went through him. His ability to consistently switch the point of attack successfully was almost Pirloesque.

  • Nicolai Jörgensen

    Nicolai Jörgensen

A bright display from the Copenhagen midfielder. Cleverly assisted on the Danes' second goal.
