LA Galaxy 0-1 New York Red Bulls: Lindpere nets game's only goal
New York went to Los Angeles missing some stars but still came away with a win thanks to Joel Lindpere scoring the game's only goal.

Victor Decolongon
The New York Red Bulls, without the services of Thierry Henry and Rafael Marquez, went on the road to Los Angeles and walked away with a 1-0 win over the struggling Galaxy.
The only goal of the night came 19 minutes in after the Galaxy had largely dominated the opening exchanges. Joel Lindpere poked home from close range after the Red Bulls broke down the left, leaving the Galaxy to chase the game.
Despite holding a massive edge in possession, Los Angeles had problems creating chances.
Landon Donovan had one shot turned away by Ryan Meara late on and David Beckham had another chance that he pushed wide from a good position, allowing New York to hold a clean sheet and leave the west coast with three points.
