Player Ratings: Bayern Munich 2-0 Eintracht Braunschweig

An Arjen Robben double sealed all three points for the Bundesliga leader as it continued an impressive start to life under Pep Guardiola with an 18th home win in a row.

Manuel Neuer Flop of the Match

Barely touched the ball in the first half, but was busier after the break as he was called into action to block an effort from Kumbela and keep out a shot from Caliguri. But he was fortunate to keep a clean sheet given how many unnecessary risks he took.

  • Dante

    Dante

The Brazil centre-back had a busy second half as Braunschweig burst to life and he had to produce a brilliant block to stop Kumbela from close range late on.

    Daniel Van Buyten

The experienced Belgian was given a run-out by Guardiola and did not look out of place playing alongside Dante at centre-back for the league leaders.

  • Rafinha

    2.50

    Rafinha

Ostensibly a right-back, the energetic defender played more like a forward as he spent much of the game supporting Robben in attacking positions, which caught his team out once or twice as the visitors threatened after the break.

  • David Alaba

    David Alaba

Like Rafinha, he was granted freedom of the Braunschweig half for much of the game as Bayern dominated possession. Put some dangerous crosses into the box that caused the away side problems.

  • Thiago Alcántara

    Thiago Alcántara

Every time the Spaniard has been granted a starting place by Guardiola since their move from Barcelona he has excelled, and it was no different today as he dictated play from in front of the back four. Provided a superb assist for Robben's opener.

  • Javi Martínez

    Javi Martínez

He and Thiago looked to be playing with their own football at times in the first half, so regularly were they in possession. Should have done better with a couple of headers from set pieces.

The flying Dutchman was effervescent for the hosts, toying with the Braunschweig defence and scoring two fine goals, including the opener within three minutes of kick-off.

  • Mario Götze

    Mario Götze

The former Borussia Dortmund man put in a fairly low-key performance, which came as a bit of a surprise after his decisive role against his former club last weekend.

    Toni Kroos

A fine assist for Robben's second goal was the highlight of another solid performance from the Germany international, who is quickly establishing himself as one of the most complete midfielders in world football.

  • Thomas Müller

    Thomas Müller

Did not provide much of a threat from his position on the left side of Bayern's attack and it was little surprise that he was the first player to be withdrawn in the second half.

Linked well with Alaba and Robben after being introduced after half-time.

    Daniel Davari

Made a very good save from Robben late on to deny the Dutchman his hat-trick, but could do little about the winger's fine first-half double.

    Ermin Bicakcic

Missed a glorious opportunity to score from a corner in the second half as he sidefooted wide. Had a busy afternoon dealing with Bayern's daunting frontline.

    Deniz Dogan

Put in some vital last-ditch blocks in and around the Braunschweig penalty area to deny Kroos, Robben and Gotze.

    Mirko Boland

One of his side's more impressive performers, the midfielder tried to initiate counterattacks when possible and his passing called Dante and van Buyten into action on a couple of occasions.

    Omar Elabdellaoui

The right-back did well against Muller in the first half but struggled when Alaba pushed forward from full-back to support the hosts in attack.

Was dragged here, there and everywhere by Robben as the Bayern winger excelled for the hosts.

    Kevin Kratz

The 26-year-old struggled against the metronomic Martinez and Thiago as the two Spaniards kept the ball brilliantly for the hosts, particularly in the first half.

  • Marco Caligiuri

    Marco Caligiuri

The midfielder was at the heart of Braunschweig's improved performance after the break and very nearly made it 2-1 with a deflected effort that Neuer clawed away from danger.

    Karim Bellarabi

The right-sided attacker impressed after the break after a quiet opening 45 minutes. He crashed a free kick against the bar late in the game.

  • Dominick Kumbela

    Dominick Kumbela

The strong striker hustled and bustled his way into the Bayern box two or three times in the second half and he forced Neuer into making one particularly brilliant block in the 73rd minute after racing on to a throughball.

  • K. Jackson

    K. Jackson

The former Norwich City man was disappointing in attack and was hauled off midway through the second half after wasting a chance to test Neuer.
