The Argentine star continued his fine form by scoring three times against the Ligue 2 side

PSG star Angel Di Maria hit a hat-trick in his side's 4-1 win at Sochaux on Tuesday in the Coupe de France.

The win took the three-time defending champions into the quarter-final stage of the competition.

Di Maria opened the scoring in the game's first minute, getting his head on an inch-perfect cross from Kylian Mbappe to give PSG an early lead at the Stade Auguste Bonal.

With his side up 2-1, Di Maria put the game to bed with a pair of goals in a four-minute span in the second half.

Marco Verratti sent Di Maria through in the 58th minute and the Argentine finished emphatically for his second.

Four minutes later, Di Maria completed his treble as he bundled home a rebound in cheeky fashion from an Edinson Cavani strike.

It was the first hat-trick for Di Maria in the top five European leagues, as the Argentine had not scored a treble since his time at Benfica.

Since the turn of the year, Di Maria has now scored nine goals in 10 appearances in all competitions for PSG.

With nine goals and six assists, the 29-year-old has been involved in the most goals for PSG in 2018.
