U.S. international keeper Ethan Horvath is nearing a move to Club Brugge of the Belgian first division, a source tells Goal USA.

The source confirms earlier reports Brugge has agreed to a fee with Norwegian side Molde, Horvath’s current club, though personal terms still need to be worked out.

The 21-year-old American became Molde’s No.1 in 2015, earning 15 starts in Norway's top division before getting 22 starts in this year’s league, in which Molde finished fifth.

If terms are agreed to, Horvath will join a Brugge side that is second in Belgium — a point off the top spot. The Belgian club was in the Champions League this season, but was eliminated in the group stage. He will have to compete with 33-year-old Frenchman Ludovic Butelle, who has started all 17 of Brugge’s league games this season.

Horvath has only played once for the U.S. senior team — starting a friendly against Cuba in October which the U.S. won 2-0. He has been named to the U.S. roster for multiple competitions this year as the third keeper behind veterans Tim Howard and Brad Guzan.
