Mavididi joins Juventus from Arsenal

Stephy Mavididi has joined Juventus from Arsenal.

The 20-year-old leaves the Gunners on a permanent deal, and will initially join the Serie A club's 'B' team, which competes in Serie C.

Mavididi never made a senior appearance for Arsenal, but played 41 games for the club's Under-23 team and has also won three caps for England's Under-20s.

He made 11 appearances in the Championship while on loan at Preston North End at the start of last season, before leaving in January for a temporary spell with Charlton, playing 20 times for the League One side.

Mavididi plays primarily as a centre-forward, but is also capable of playing on either flank and as an attacking midfielder.

A slew of young players have left the Premier League to forge paths elsewhere, notably Jadon Sancho, who left Manchester City to join Borussia Dortmund, while fellow former Gunner Kaylen Hinds left for Wolfsburg.

Midfielder Marcus McGuane also left Arsenal, joining Barcelona, while Chris Willock swapped the Emirates for Benfica.

Tottenham have lost a number of players too, with Keanan Bennetts joining Borussia Monchengladbach and striker Reo Griffiths heading to Lyon.
