A-League Betting Preview: Jets, Adelaide a decent price

It's the two away teams who should be of interest to punters on Sunday, with Josep Gombau's men and Clayton Zane's side both capable registering wins
Adelaide United and the Newcastle Jets look good value to win away to Perth Glory and Wellington Phoenix respectively in the A-League on Sunday.

Josep Gombau's Reds are paying $2.37 at bet365 to come out on top in their visit to Westpac Stadium this weekend, with the injury-hit hosts at $2.87 and the draw priced at $3.40.

Ernie Merrick's men are running out of steam as the regular season draws to a close, and were thumped 5-0 away to the Jets last weekend.

Their most recent meeting with Adelaide at Coopers Stadium last month saw the home team run out convincing 5-1 winners, meaning all the signs point to an away victory in New Zealand this weekend.

Argentine forward Jeronimo Neumann scored first on his way to bagging a brace in that hefty triumph, and you can get $8.50 on him breaking the deadlock again on Sunday, or $3.25 to score at any point in the game.

The Reds' goal-scoring prowess and Wellington's vulnerable is reflected in the total goals market, with over 2.5 goals in the game the favourite at $1.72. Under 2.5 goals is an unappealing $2.07.

Go for the Jets at $2.40 & Adelaide at $2.37 to win on the road

Back Jeronimo as first goal-scorer at $8.50

Also on Sunday, the Jets, fresh from their landslide win against the unfortunate Kiwis last time out, are $2.40 favourites to claim all three points away to struggling Perth Glory, who have not tasted victory since January 10.

The Glory are $2.90 to break that sequence, with the draw at nib Stadium worth $3.25.

Adam Taggart claimed a brace against the Phoenix to bolster his hopes of winning the golden boot, and is paying $7.00 to score first in this one, or $3.00 to hit the back of the net at any time in the game.
