FA Cup winners Wigan need another miracle if they are to preserve their Premier League status, but face a tough ask against Arsenal Indonesia   By PAUL GOUGH

They have just pulled off one miracle to win the FA Cup but battling Wigan are still the hot favourites to be relegated from the English Premier League this season ahead of their crunch game on Tuesday [Wednesday Australian time] against Arsenal.

The Latics' visit to Arsenal comes just three days after the greatest moment in the tiny Lancashire club's history when they stunned hot favourites Manchester City 1-0 - thanks to a late Ben Watson goal - to win the FA Cup, the first major trophy in their history.

Now Roberto Martinez's team know they have to pull off another miracle win at Arsenal to keep alive their hopes of avoiding relegation yet again.

Even a draw for Wigan on Tuesday at Arsenal would effectively see the Latics relegated, as it would leave them three points adrift of Sunderland [who have a huge goal difference advantage] with just one game left to play.

A win would see Wigan only needing to win at home against fellow relegation contender Aston Villa on the final day of the season next Sunday to avoid the drop.

But with Arsenal needing to win to move back above bitter rivals Tottenham in the race to finish fourth - and join Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea in the Champions League next season - the bookies have once again written the Latics off.

Arsenal to win v Wigan at $1.37 at Betfair
More than 4.5 goals scored in Arsenal v Wigan at $3.85

The Gunners are the $1.32 favourites at Eskander's Betstar, $1.33 at and $1.37 at Betfair to win, with Wigan paying $8.50, $9 and $9.60respectively.

The draw is paying $5 at, $5.60 at Betstar and again best odds of $5.80 at Betfair.

Wigan also remain the overwhelming $1.06 favourites at Betfair to be relegated with the only other two teams still in contention, with Sunderland priced at $25 and Villa at $40.

In the race to finish in the top four, Arsenal are the $1.79 favourites with Spurs at $2.22.

One way to make a profit on this game might be to bank on the fact there will be plenty of goals scored.

At Betfair, you can get odds of $2.22 on there being more than 3.5 goals scored in the match, while we are even tempted to back there being more than 4.5 goals at $3.85.

Meanwhile, in the other Premier League fixture on Tuesday, beaten FA Cup finalists Manchester City should be able to bounce back from their Wembley nightmare at $1.53 with Betfair away to already relegated Reading at $7.40 while the draw is paying $4.60.

This comes even after last season's champions dismissed coach Roberto Mancini on Monday.
