QPR are on the verge of relegation and need a win against Southampton to keep their faint chances of survival alive

Southampton look set to complete Harry Redknapp's amazing fall from grace and condemn his battling Queens Park Rangers to near virtual certain relegation on Saturday.

The Saints are still not entirely safe from relegation themselves, currently sitting three points clear of 18th-placed Aston Villa, but given their recent form compared to that of Rangers look one of the best bets of the day on Saturday at odds of $1.93 at Betfair – with QPR priced at $4.40 and the draw paying $3.80.

With the title all but won by Manchester United, who lead second-placed Manchester City by 12 points with just 11 games remaining, the big interest is now the relegation battle with all of the candidates in action on Saturday, except Villa which don't face Man City until Monday night.

It is QPR, who are seven points adrift of safety, that are the dominant $1.18 favourites to go down at Betfair followed by second-last placed Reading at $1.30 then Villa at $1.91 and 17th-placed Wigan at $2.22.

Redknapp has made a name for himself over the years as a master of rescuing teams from relegation worries – as he did at previous clubs Bournemouth, West Ham, Portsmouth and Tottenham.

But this time a year ago those worries seemed a distant memory as he had Spurs in third place in the English Premier League and on course for automatic Champions League qualification while he was also linked with the England job.

The Saints, despite their controversial manager switch from the popular Nigel Adkins to Mauricio Pochettino, have been in good form of late, beating City 3-1 a fortnight ago as well as drawing with top-six sides Everton, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Reading, who suffered a disastrous 3-0 loss at home against Wigan last week, will also struggle to get anything away to Everton, who are the $1.41 favourites at Betfair, with the Royals at $9.80 and the draw at $5.10.

Wigan are at home to the inconsistent Liverpool and are great value at odds of $4.70, with the Reds at $1.84 and the draw paying $4 at Betfair.

At the top of the table, United should have no worries extending their lead at home to Norwich.

The Canaries have not won at Old Trafford since 1989 and only won for the first time in 10 matches with a much needed 2-1 win over Everton last week.

They are huge odds of $10 at the TAB and $11 at Betfair to score another upset win this week – having beaten United at Carrow Road earlier this season – with the Red Devils the dominant favourites at $1.26 and $1.34 respectively.

With third-placed Tottenham hosting fifth-placed Arsenal in the north London derby on Saturday, fourth-placed Chelsea face a must-win game in their bid for Champions League qualification - at home to seventh-placed West Brom.

Chelsea are the $1.36 favourites at the TAB and $1.42 at Betfair, with West Brom priced at $7.50 and $9.20 respectively while the draw is paying $4.50 at the TAB and $5.10 at Betfair.

The other games are all between mid-table teams, with Stoke the $2.20 favourites with Betfair at home to West Ham at $3.95 while Sunderland are $2.44 at home to Fulham at $3.30.

Meanwhile, Newcastle look great value in the remaining match to win at odds of $3.60 on the road at Swansea ($2.20).
