Chelsea are heavy favourites to take a major step towards adding yet another trophy to their overflowing cabinet when they host Swansea in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final on Wednesday [Thursday morning Australian time].
The Blues are as short as $1.38 at Eskander's Betstar to win the first leg but better value at $1.45 at Centrebet and Betfair, with Swansea priced at just $6.50 at Centrebet but much better odds of $8.20 at Betstar and $8.40 at Betfair.
The huge gulf in odds between the two teams comes despite the fact that just five places separate fourth-placed Chelsea from ninth-placed Swansea in the English Premier League, while the Welsh club have already drawn against the Blues in the league this season.
But despite the impressive form of Swansea since their return to the top flight last season, the respective Cup pedigrees of the two sides is a huge reason why Chelsea are the hot favourites to progress to the League Cup final.
And with the other semi-final featuring League Two Bradford and relegation-threatened Aston Villa, Chelsea look assured of winning their first League Cup since 2007 if they can overcome Swansea.

||Chelsea to win 3-1 v Swansea at $12.50 at Betfair|
While the past two eague meetings between these teams have ended in 1-1 draws, both those games were played at Swansea.
Chelsea handed the Swans a 4-1 thrashing at Stamford Bridge in the league last season.
But with Swansea also a chance to score on Wednesday but Chelsea likely to go for broke given their home advantage in the two-legged tie, a high-scoring game looks in the offing.
And in terms of correct-score betting, we like the look of a 3-1 Chelsea win at odds of $12.50 at Betfair.
