Everton are odds-on favourites to start their 2013 FA Cup campaign with a win away to League Two side Cheltenham Town to complete the third round, and the Toffees are also looming as a great value bet to actually win this season's competition.

Cheltenham, despite sitting fourth in League Two, should present few problems for David Moyes' Everton, although the Robins did once get as far as the fifth round of the FA Cup, back in 2002.

However the betting on Monday's match [Tuesday morning Australian time] reflects the gulf in divisions and class between the teams, with Everton priced at $1.35 at Betfair and Cheltenham at $11 - out from $9.60 - with the draw at $5.80.

But it would be a huge shock if Cheltenham were even able to secure a draw, which would give them a money-spinning replay at Everton's famous Goodison Park ground next week.

And provided Everton, who are sitting in fifth place in the English Premier League at present, do not suffer the kind of FA Cup upset which has made the competition so beloved over the years, the Toffees are looming as a great bet to win the competition this season.

But Everton have improved even further in 2012-13 and look a genuine chance of finishing in the top four of England's top flight.

Yet in overall FA Cup betting on who will win the competition this season, Everton are only the seventh line of betting at $13 at Betfair.

The Toffees face a potential difficult fourth-round trip to fellow Premier League side Sunderland, should they get over Cheltenham and the Black Cats win their replay against Championship side Bolton, but Everton are a good enough side to come through that tricky tie.

The big guns were kept away from each other in the fourth-round draw, made on Sunday, with Chelsea replacing Manchester City as favourites after the draw handed City a potential trip to Stoke in the fourth round.

Chelsea, who have won the Cup in four of the past six seasons, are now the $5.70 favourites to win the 2013 edition at Betfair after drawing either lowly Southend or Brentford in the fourth round.

City, who were the $5.50 favourites prior to the third round to win the Cup for the second time in three seasons, are now the $6.20 equal second-favourites alongside Manchester United, with Tottenham at $9.60, Arsenal at $11.50, Liverpool at $12 and then Everton at $13.

Between them, those seven clubs have won every FA Cup since 1989, with the exception of Portsmouth's shock win in 2008.
