thumbnail Hello,

The arrival of their new coach has offered QPR hope, but they remain among the favourites for relegation from the Premier League Indonesia   By PAUL GOUGH

Queens Park Rangers have come in for plenty of support at odds to upset Sunderland away from home in what will be new manager Harry Redknapp's first game in charge on Tuesday.

There is a full round of mid-week matches this week but only two of the 10 fixtures will be played on Tuesday, with Aston Villa hosting Reading in the other match.

It is shaping as a crucial night in the relegation battle with QPR last on the table with just four points from 13 games, while Reading are second last on nine points and Villa round out the relegation zone on 10 points.

Sunderland are just two places above the relegation zone in 16th with just 12 points.

Redknapp is one of the best managers in Britain, having guided Tottenham to the Champions League for the first time in his previous job and he led Portsmouth to the 2008 FA Cup and guided West Ham into the top six in the late 1990s.

QPR were the clear favourites to be relegated at Betfair prior to Redknapp's arrival, but already \have eased to $1.89 second favourites to go down.

Reading are now favourites at $1.66 ahead of Southampton at $1.96, Villa at $3, Norwich and Wigan at $3.45 and Sunderland at $6.40.

QPR to win v Sunderland at $3.55 at Betfair
QPR to win 1-0 v Sunderland at $9.40 at Betfair

QPR are great value at $3.55 with Betfair to beat struggling Sunderland at $2.30, with the draw at $3.45.

Betfair's Daniel Bevan said Rangers have come in for plenty of support, having already attracted a quarter of all money wagered on the game despite sitting in last place and playing away from home.

Combined with Sunderland's poor scoring record this season - just 12 goals in 12 games - we like the look of a 1-0 win for QPR paying $9.40 in correct-score betting at Betfair.

In the other game, Villa - a huge chance to be relegated for the first time since 1987 - are a risk as the $2.02 favourites with Betfair at home to struggling Reading at $4.30.

And while Villa performed well on Saturday to hold Arsenal to a 0-0 draw at Villa Park, it is difficult to mount a case for either team, with a draw looking the best option at $3.65.
