Betting round-up: Fireworks likely as Millwall meet Leeds

Two teams featuring some of world football's most passionate fans meet in the Championship on Sunday, while Fulham meet Sunderland in the top flight Indonesia   By PAUL GOUGH

It is not often England's second tier football competition - the Championship - overshadows the Premier League but that is definitely the case on Sunday when explosive rivals Millwall and Leeds go head-to-to head in London.

With just one Premier League game taking place on Sunday [with in-form Fulham at short odds to win at home against struggling Sunderland], the focus turns to south-east London, where Millwall will host Leeds.

The two teams are renowned in England for containing the two most trouble-prone sets of supporters, with a Leeds fan having assaulted the Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper this season.

One certainty of Sunday's game is that there will be far more arrests than there will be goals in the match, in which Millwall are the clear favourites with Betfair at $1.97, with Leeds paying $4 and the draw at $3.80.

Millwall are on an impressive run and are unbeaten in their past nine matches - form that includes three wins from the past four games.

That has lifted Millwall up to a 10th in what is always England's most competitive division, while in contrast Leeds have slumped to 18th after just two wins in their past nine games in all competitions, including a humiliating 6-1 loss at home against Watford last time out.

Millwall was also the original English club of former Everton star and Socceroos legend Tim Cahill and still boasts an Australian connection through Shane Lowry, while Leeds have countryman defender in their ranks in Patrick Kisnorbo.

Fulham and Millwall to both win their matches on Sunday at Betfair
Fulham to keep a clean sheet v Sunderland at $2.66 at Betfair

Meanwhile, ninth-placed Fulham - fresh from a heroic 3-3 draw away to Arsenal in a game in which Socceroos goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer saved an injury-time penalty to secure a point - should be far too strong at home to 16th-placed Sunderland in the Premier League.

The Black Cats have lost their past three games and are shaping as relegation candidates this season, and are the league's lowest scoring team this season with just seven goals.

Fulham are short at $1.77 with Betfair, with Sunderland at $5.40 and the draw at $3.90.

But we like the odds of $2.66 on offer with Betfair on Fulham to keep a clean sheet in this match.
