The Germany Under-21 starlet is relishing the prospect of potentially taking on the Catalans later in the competition as he's keen to measure himself against the best
The Bundesliga champions beat the likes of Real Madrid, Ajax and Manchester City to top Group D in order to book their ticket for the knock-out stages, and Leitner is looking foward to possibly testing himself against the best later in the competition.
"If we continue to progress then we're sure to come up against Barcelona at some point. That would of course be a dream come true," Leitner was quoted as saying on the official Uefa website.
"Testing yourself against world stars like [Lionel] Messi, [Andres] Iniesta and Xavi would be amazing.
"We targeted the last 16 and we've managed to get there. Now we'll have to see what happens and perhaps we can get into the quarters. I don't really mind who we play against."
The draw for the round of 16 takes place on December 20 in Nyon, and Dortmund could be up against Porto, Arsenal, AC Milan or another top team.
