Mircea Lucescu says he is confident of Shakhtar Donetsk's ability to mix it with the best after seeing his team trump Chelsea in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The Ukrainian champions came away with all the spoils following their 2-1 victory over the competition holders and their coach believes they could have won by an even-greater margin.
"We could have scored four goals against Chelsea," beamed Lucescu at the post-match press conference.
"We are not afraid to play teams of Chelsea's calibre. We fully deserved the victory and the score could have been more, but [Petr] Cech had a great night.
Roberto Di Matteo, who resided over the Blues' first loss in the competition, was left impressed by the strength of the hosts.
"Shakhtar are a strong team and they showed it on the night. They scored their first goal very quickly and it was a burden on us," he admitted.
The two sides will meet again in a fortnight when the Londoners welcome the Donetsk outfit to Stamford Bridge on November 7.
