Roberto Mancini has elected to make six changes to the side that lost 3-1 to Southampton, with only Pablo Zabaleta, Yaya Toure, Javi Garcia, David Silva and Sergio Aguero retaining their places.
Costel Pantilimon replaces Joe Hart in goal, while Matija Nastasic, Kolo Toure and Aleksandar Kolarov come into defence.
Garcia returns to his preferred central midfield role after filling in at centre-back against the Saints and slots in behind Tevez and James Milner, who replace Edin Dzeko and Samir Nasri.
