Arsenal youngster Eisfeld enjoying life in London
The 19-year-old Gunners starlet who featured in the extraordinary 7-5 victory over Reading in the Capital One Cup says he has now settled in England after a difficult start
Thomas Eisfeld believes he has finally adapted to life in England after moving to Arsenal from German champions Borussia Dortmund in January this year. The attacking-midfielder has demonstrated some fine form in the Under-21 Premier League, scoring eight times. And his performances have not gone unnoticed by boss Arsene Wenger, who gave the German his first senior run out during Arsenal's freak 7-5 victory over Reading in the Capital One Cup.
Eisfeld told the club's offical website: "At the moment I'm happy, I had a tough start last year because it was big adjustment to move from German football to English football.
"But everything has turned out really well and I think things can continue to progress well. But I know I can still improve.
"[My debut against Reading] was a completely unique experience and one that I will never forget. When I came onto the pitch, I had this really good feeling. I thought we could still turn the car around. Then it happened and I'm delighted that we managed to win the game in the way we did.
"In a way it's unbelievable to make your debut in a game like that because we, the club, wrote ourselves into the history books."
