Ba dismisses Liverpool speculation
The Senegal international striker has taken to Twitter to refute reports stating he is ready to leave Newcastle to join Brendan Rodgers' Anfield revolution
Newcastle striker Demba Ba has dismissed speculation that he is set to join Liverpool this summer as "rumours".The Senegal international has been linked with a move away from The Magpies after enjoying an impressive first season on Tyneside, scoring 16 goals in 34 appearances.
Ba established himself as a fan favourite at the Sports Direct Arena following his arrival on a free transfer from West Ham United in June 2011.

However, it is believed that a clause in the 27-year-old's contract means that he can leave the club for a minimum release fee of £7 million.
Liverpool, Tottenham and Turkish giants Galatasaray are understood to be keen to take advantage of the clause before it expires on July 31 but Ba has now moved to quell such speculation.
He wrote on his personal Twitter account: “Holla back everybody. So much stuff about me lately. Rumours are rumours! Just forget about it. By the way I had the best holiday ever!!”
Ba could be in line to represent Senegal at the Olympics this summer alongside Newcastle team-mate Papiss Cisse.
