Arsenal to play Nigeria in August friendly

The Gunners have announced that they will finish their pre-season preparations with a game against the Super Eagles in early August as the Premier League approaches
Arsenal have confirmed that they will face the Nigerian national team in a friendly in Abuja later this summer.

The game is part of a four match pre-season tour for the Gunners, who will first travel to China and Malaysia after a successful visit to the continent last term.

Arsenal's pre-season will kick-off on July 24 in Kuala Lumpur where they will face a Malayisa XI, Arsene Wenger's men will then take on newly crowned Premier League champions Manchester City in Beijing on July 27 before travelling to Hong Kong to face Kitchee FC on July 29.

The clash with the Nigerians will round off the Gunners' preparations, and will take place on August 5 in the Nigerian capital, with a confirmed kick-off of 4pm local time. The visit marks the first time that Arsenal have travelled to Africa since their pre-season tour of 1993.
