The Turkish powerhouse have confirmed that they have secured the services of the Netherlands international on a lucrative three-year contract
The versatile attacker has signed a three-year deal with the Istanbul powerhouse which, according to the Turkish Stock Exchange, will net the Dutchman €2.85m per season, and €17,500 per game.
The Netherlands international had long been linked with a move away from Anfield, and has now opted to continue his career at Fener after previously turning down a return to Feyenoord.
"Fenerbahce are a great club to continue my career. They only just missed out on the league title this season. They did qualify for the Champions League qualifiers, though," Kuyt told the official Sport-Promotion website.
"I needed a new challenge after six years with Liverpool. This has nothing to do with the club and the fans. They will forever have a place in my heart."
The 31-year-old Kuyt started his professional career with Utrecht and also wore the Feyenoord jersey before joining Liverpool in the summer of 2006.
He went on to make 200 English Premier League appearances for the Reds, scoring 51 goals in the process.
