Walcott fit to face West Brom - report
The Gunners look set to be boosted with the news of the winger’s return from injury in time for the crunch game that will decide the club's European fate for next season
Arsenal forward Theo Walcott is set to feature for his side against West Brom on Sunday, as the north Londoners look to secure automatic qualification to the Champions League, according to The Telegraph. The 23-year-old was originally sidelined for the remainder of the campaign after picking up a hamstring injury in the draw against Chelsea two weeks ago.
The winger will take part in full training by the end of the week, meaning he should be in contention to play in Arsenal’s vital away trip to West Brom. The Gunners must equal the results of Tottenham and Newcastle in order to finish in third place, and claim a place in next season's Champions League group stage.
The news comes as a big boost for Arsene Wenger, who has often stated his praise for Walcott this season, suggesting an overall improvement in his team play. His absence from the side has also been noticeable during their sluggish displays against Stoke City and Norwich City.
The latest developments will also be noted by newly appointed England manager Roy Hodgson, who will be keeping a watchful eye over his progress when considering who to include in his Euro 2012 squad.
