thumbnail Hello,

Togolese forward wants his team-mates to put aside their recent poor form and give their supporters something to cheer when they take on the Blues at Wembley on Sunday

Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor has urged his team-mates to win their FA Cup semi-final with Chelsea on Sunday for Spurs' supporters.

Harry Redknapp's side have been struggling for form in recent weeks but the Togolese forward believes his side should be confident of beating the Blues at Wembley on Sunday.

The striker told the club's official website website: "We've had some difficult moments but this is the chance to beat Chelsea and to be in the final of the FA Cup.

"We have to keep going, keep believing and tell ourselves, 'yes, we can win the FA Cup' and that we have a great chance in the semi-final against Chelsea.”

HAPPY AS ADE?
6/1
Emmanuel Adebayor is 6/1 with Paddy Power to score the opening goal in Sunday's FA Cup semi-final between Spurs and Chelsea.
Adebayor, who is currently on a season long loan from Manchester City, believes that the team owe a big performance to their fans.

He continued: "This is a big London derby and we have to do it for our fans.

"They have been great throughout the season. Even in the difficult moments, they are there singing, praising us and now we have to do that to make everyone happy.

"Wembley is a great stadium, it's a big occasion and I'm sure a lot of clubs would like to be there in our place. We have to grab our chance."
