PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEKEND

Rockdale City Suns

With little to play for but their retiring captain, Mark Rudan's side ensured Pece Apolevski went out a winner thanks to their come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Parramatta. Sash Tirovski cancelled out Aaron Peterson's seventh-minute opener on 66 minutes before substitute Alan Kovacevic powered in a header from a corner to complete Rockdale's comeback.

AFTERTHOUGHTS

Premiers and championship favourites Bonnyrigg avoided flirting with their form in a 2-1 win over Blacktown City. The White Eagles will be hard to beat in the finals, with Sydney Olympic and Marconi, who finished second and third respectively, predictably their biggest threats.

THE NUMBERS

6 - the number of games Bonnyrigg have won in a row

17 - the low number of goals the White Eagles conceded in 22 league games this season
