STATE PICKS

Bayswater City moved to the top in WA after a thumping 7-2 win over Inglewood United. Floreat Athena slipped up with a 3-3 draw at Balcatta, while Sorrento recorded their fourth-straight win.

Brisbane Strikers continued their dominance in the QSL, overcoming the second-placed Whitsunday Miners 3-1 for their 15th win in 17 matches.

Belconnen United saw their lead at the top in ACT trimmed again after drawing 2-2 at home to Canberra. Cooma Tigers were 2-0 victors over the Monaro Panthers, moving to within a point of top spot.

In the south of Tasmania, New Town Eagles drew level on points with South Hobart after defeating the league leaders 1-0. Northern Rangers stayed a point clear in the north.

In Brisbane, the Wolves suffered a shock 1-0 loss to Capalaba, while the Rochedale Rovers recorded their third-straight win.

Hamilton Olympic surged four points clear in northern New South Wales after winning and seeing the Newcastle Jets Youths lose.
