Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain and Angel Di Maria have all been named in the Argentina squad to face Sweden, along with a handful of less-established players.

The Liga trio have been included in Alejandro Sabella's 22-man squad for next month's friendly match, along with the likes of Ezequiel Lavezzi, Sergio Aguero and Javier Mascherano.

Rubin Kazan's Cristian Ansaldi and Santos midfielder Walter Montillo get the chance to add to their two caps for the Albiceleste, while Valencia's Ever Banega also earns a recall.

Wigan striker Franco Di Santo, who made his senior debut in October's clash with Saudi Arabia, earns a second call-up to the national fold, but Marcos Rojo misses out through injury.
