The 19-year-old goalkeeper won his first call-up after impressing for Team GB at the Olympic Games, before their exit to South Korea on penalties in the quarter-finals. Manchester United's Tom Cleverley also starts after a good campaign under Stuart Pearce.
Roy Hodgson is without Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott and Daniel Sturridge but recalls midfielder Michael Carrick after confusion over his important to the squad saw the player miss out on a spot at Euro 2012.
Kyle Walker and Gary Cahill, who both missed the tournament with injuries, are also set to feature.
Phil Jagielka, Leighton Baines, and Adam Johnson are all also granted chances to impress in the experimental friendly.
