Tengku Abdullah has urged everyone not to take part in negative speculation surrounding Nazmi's return to Malaysia from PortugalThe Deputy President of the Football Association of Malaysia [FAM], Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, has urged everyone to stop speculating on Nazmi Faiz's return to Malaysia.
Though surprised at his return from Portuguese club Beira Mar, Tengku Abdullah hopes that Nazmi will regain his confidence after joining Selangor PKNS.
Nazmi's return to Malaysia has surprised many, including Tengku Abdullah. He said to Bernama: "I have not met him yet but we should not start criticising him as maybe, he has lost his confidence. If there is another offer to play abroad, I hope he will consider because he is still young."
He also urged other Malaysian footballers who have received similar offers from abroad to consider all options before making their decision.
He added: "Players should not be afraid of leaving their family and friends because such opportunities are rare and provide valuable exposure in their efforts to progress."
