It is no surprise there is an all-New South Wales defence for this week's team, considering the fantastic wins by the Mariners, Sky Blues and Wanderers in Week 10.  Ryall and Bosschaart were part of a formidable defence which kept the Phoenix's opportunities to minimum.  Ryall managed to score with a stinging strike and Bosschaart was able to curb the influence of Wellington attackers Ifill and Huysegems in the win. Beauchamp has had a stellar season for the Wanderers and another clean sheet for his side, which moved into fourth place on the table, was down in a big way to his interceptions and control at the back. Becoming a regular here, Rose continued his good form in the F3 Derby on Saturday, sending in the cross for one of Daniel McBreen's goals and proving an attacking force down the left all game.

It would be remiss of us to have a team of the week without a Melbourne Heart player after their win over Perth, and Gerhardt - despite playing much of his season in defence for his side - slots in to the team nicely after his starring role in the victory.  Gerhardt's incredible running capabilities and appetite for passing goes well with Carrusca, who is on the left side of midfield.  The Argentine is capable of scoring, but also sets up the play beautifully and assisted Fabio Ferreira for one of Adelaide's four goals against old enemy Melbourne Victory. Ono completes the midfield, with the win over Brisbane Roar the Japanese import's best game for the Wanderers.  He rewarded the fans' faith in him by converting the match-winning penalty with three minutes remaining.

The two biggest winners of the round were Adelaide United and the Mariners, so it is appropriate to see McBreen in the middle of two Reds players on the front line of this week's team.  McBreen continued his renaissance by scoring twice in the win over the Jets - taking his tally to nine goals for the season - and is the perfect striker to complement the Adelaide duo.  Ferreira can play in midfield but is selected in attack this week because of his stunning goal and his constant threat to the Victory defence. Kostopoulos had a fantastic night on the left with his brace, and the potency he and Ferreira presented had Victory coach Postecoglou changing things at half-time.
