The Australian coach will make a call on his future in the following days, with Dempo being the likely destination
Having played a vital role in the development of players at Pailan Arrows, the All India Football Federation's [AIFF] developmental side, Arthur Papas will make a decision on his future by the end of the week.
I-League club Dempo SC are favourites to win the race for his services.
Having come to India to take charge of the FIFA academy in Navi Mumbai, Papas was drafted in at the eleventh hour to take over the reins as the India Under-22 coach for the crucial AFC U-22 Championship qualifiers, where the youngsters impressed under his tutelage.
He led Pailan to 12th on the table, but Papas chose not to extend his contract with the Arrows and was reportedly offered a role by the AIFF to take over the reins of the age group national teams and also as a coaching instructor.
He has also received some interest from his native Australia.
However, given his good work in Indian football over the last year or so, Papas has received several offers - chief among them being from Dempo SC, who are looking to replace Armando Colaco.
Papas, who is in Australia now, shall ponder on his future and is likely to put pen to paper the offer from The Whites.
