It was a great week for Australian defenders, with Dino Djulbic and Ersan Gulum both starring for their respective clubs on the weekend.
Djulbic produced his most dominant performance of the season for United Arab Emirates club Al Wahda, scoring both goals in the 2-1 victory over Al Ittihad Kalba in the Pro-League.
Gulum also played well in his return from injury, heading in Turkish giants Besiktas' only goal in the 1-1 draw with Gaziantepspor in the Super Lig.
Alex Brosque, meanwhile, continued his great form for UAE club Al Ain, scoring his side's third goal in the 3-0 win over Al Dhafra.
In Europe, James Holland was solid for Austria Vienna as the Bundesliga leaders resumed their campaign with a 2-1 victory over Rapid Wien.
And when international team-mates Rhys Williams [Middlesbrough captain] and Mile Jedinak [Crystal Palace captain] met in the English Championship, it was the latter who was left celebrating a 4-1 win.
