Newly capped Australia international defender Dino Djulbic is poised to join United Arab Emirates Pro-League club Al Wahda, subject to a medical.

The 29-year-old has ended his two-season stint with Chinese Super League club Guizhou Renhe, departing the club on a free transfer after contract negotiations broke down.

Djulbic was the only non-Chinese Asian player to make the CSL's All-Star XI in season 2012, and was rewarded with two caps in the Socceroos' successful East Asian Cup qualification campaign in December.

Talks with Guizhou reportedly broke down after the former Perth Glory and Gold Coast United centre-back requested double his salary to stay at the club, and it now appears Al Wahda is willing to meet his demands.

Djulbic will be the club's designated Asian player, replacing Omani defender Mohammed Al Balushi.  Al Wahda are seventh on the Pro-League table after 13 matches, but have shipped the fourth-most amount of goals this season.
