The former Jets forward is on the lookout for another club after his release from the I-League outfit, which will replace him with a former Singapore international

Australian striker Sean Rooney has departed Indian I-League club Salgaocar FC by mutual consent.
The former Newcastle Jets, who also spent time with Indonesian club Deltras FC in the 2011-12 season, completed just four months of his one-year deal before his release.
He played nine I-League games and scored two goals, but was allowed to leave in order for Salgoacar to sign British-born former Singapore international midfielder John Wilkinson.
Salgoacar secretary R.A.J. Gomes said the club was only waiting on a visa for Wilkinson to take the international place in the squad made vacant by Rooney.
"He [Wilkinson] will be able to play for us from January as we'll be registering him in the January window, but he'll be training with the team until then," he said.
"We [Rooney and the club] had a meeting and Rooney also accepted that he was not able to perform as it was expected from him, so it was amicably decided to release him from the club."
