Betting round-up: Roar, Wanderers short-priced favourites

Mike Mulvey's front-runners and the reigning premiers from Western Sydney are expected to cruise in their respective A-League fixtures this weekend
Brisbane are warm favourites to continue their hot start to the A-League season when they travel to Adelaide to take on the Reds at Hindmarsh Stadium on Friday night.

The Roar, who are three points clear of Western Sydney and Sydney at the top of the table, have won four of their past five matches, while Adelaide haven't won in seven.

The visitors are priced at $1.80 with bet365 to notch another victory, while Adelaide are at $4 and the draw is $3.80.

The market is very similar in the other Friday night match with hosts Perth Glory odds on against the winless Wellington Phoenix.

Perth are at $1.85, the draw is $3.50 and the struggling Phoenix are unfancied at $4.20.

Take the draw at $3.80 in the Central Coast v Sydney clash

Reigning premiers Western Sydney Wanderers are the shortest priced team of the round for their clash against the struggling Melbourne Heart on Saturday afternoon.

Western Sydney have just one point from their last two outings, but are travelling much better than their opponents, who are still without a win but did end a run of five straight defeats with a credible 3-3 draw with Adelaide last week.

The Wanderers have been installed as $1.36 favourites with Heart rank outsiders at $8.50 and the draw paying an attractive $4.75.

Saturday's other match, Central Coast v Sydney FC, is easily the pick of Round 9 despite the Mariners entering the clash as strong favourites.

Last year's champions are at $1.61 with the Sky Blues, who will be without talisman Alessandro Del Piero, at the juicy odds of $5.50.
