Former Newcastle Jets and Western Sydney Wanderers defender Tarek Elrich is the latest player to join new head coach Josep Gombau's project at Adelaide United
Adelaide United have completed their roster for the upcoming A-League season with the signing of versatile full-back Tarek Elrich.
Elrich will join the Adelaide squad ahead of the 2013-14 season that begins in October, following stints in Australia with the Newcastle Jets and Western Sydney Wanderers.
The 26-year-old, who made 26 appearances for the Wanderers last season, said he is keen for a fresh start to his career in Adelaide.
"I'm looking forward to getting stuck in to training and making sure I'm ready as I can be for the start of the A-League," he said.
"I bring experience to the club having played 140 odd games, and I feel at 26 I still have a lot to offer the game and the Adelaide United Football Club.
"Also my versatility of playing higher up will suit the attacking style of football that coach Josep (Gombau) wants to play."
Elrich's signing completes a busy off-season for Adelaide, with the club having acquired Spaniards Isaias Sanchez and Sergio Cirio, as veterans Fabian Barbiero and Evan Kostopoulos departed.
